It takes 2 days to receive this earphone. Very good in noise reduction.

Sound is fantastic best in class for wireless headphones but the hinges are incredibly weak and break easily just Google the issue! Feel super flimsy and no IP rating

20 hours of use and the stuff does not work anymore. The device refuses to charge! The kind of problem that even does not exist on any cheap product. How come it happens on the most expensive headphone on the market. Moving back to Bose

Just bought my sony WH-1000XM5 last june, and now its not charging after only 3 months. It still covered by 1 yr warranty but when they have assessed the product, it was mentioned that there is a condensation in the charging port area. I live in the UK and maybe the weather is changing very quickly. I havent used the product in a way that it will get wet and just used it on my everyday travel. Unfortunately, sony wont repair the item for free and is asking me to pay £165 for a replacement which of course im not happy. End point, got a new £250 headphone last june and now not working. I’d rather buy other brands of headphones next time such as beaths and jbl and will never but any sony products anymore. Not a good quality product based on my experience.

I purchased my Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones due to good reviews on independent websites. I have no problem with them except I am not convinced that the noise cancelling feature is as good as advertised. Also, I've come to the conclusion that on-ear headphones don't particularly suit someone who wears glasses (could this be the reason that outside noise "leaks" into the headphones when in noise cancelling mode?

I really love the XM5 so far.This is my first so called true noise cancelling overhead earphone. So really enjoy listening using it. Use for daily commute, meeting and watching movie on netflix. Value for money and wellworth to own one.

I bought this a month ago after see all the reviews of the headphone, as expected of Sony, it is not disappointing at all, had a WF1000xm4 earbuds too along this product.

Bought a few weeks ago, and they're really good. The noise cancelling is great, and I love being able to adapt the levels. Charge is really great. I don't use the touch function on the headphones but may give it a go, and I don't have Siri connected bc I saw other reviews saying it caused some issues. I really like them

I am glad to choose this headset over the others. It looks cool and has great sound quality too. The noise cancellation is superb too. Everything is so seamless with the sensor control panel.

Had these about a month and just used them whilst flying to Canada. The noise cancelling is great and completely blocked out out all the engine/cabin noise. They are very comfortable to wear and look great. The app is great for fine tuning my listening

I bought a pair of xm5s about 4 months ago the earpiece which you swipe up and down to change the volume kept going off by itself which was annoying john lewis and domestic and general replaced them about a week ago and the same fault occurred bit annoyed about that

I've had these for about 2 weeks now and have absolutely no complaints. Since the initial charge, after at least 1hr use daily, I am still to charge them a second time. Sound quality is better than any other pair of headphones I've ever experienced. Bluetooth connection is seamless and provides superb sound d but a nice added touch is that it still comes with a 3.5mm jack lead too.

I love these for watching movies on the TV . Also for noise cancelling on a plane

I had bought this fantastic headphone recommended by my son who happened to own one too. Was very happy with the sound produced and the comfort when wearing it. Now I can enjoy my flight peacefully with this noise cancelling headphone. 😊

Ive had these headphones for about a week and they are easily the best over ear headphones I've ever used. The sound quality is fantastic and the noise cancelling is second to non. Very intuitive and easy to use, probably easier than some other headphones I've used. The battery life is much better than previous Bluetooth headphones I've tried as well. I primarily use my headphones for commuting but I've been using these to just relax with and also to watch TV without disturbing anyone else in the house. I would recommend the Sony Wireless Noise Canceling Stereo Headset WH-1000XM5 to anyone.

I bought it a month ago. what ai do not like and I knew it before I bought it was the lack of bass. The MX4 have much better The noise canceling is even better than the previous XM4 superb amazing best well done top of the market. The call quality is way way improved (one of the reasons that I love it) I can call and I am heard super nice even in a busy environment. And a surprise was they automatically stop when you speak and I can hear very clear to comunicate fast again much much better than the XM4. And the tuch comands are more precise and better respond than previous one, The sound quality is a much better easy noticeable VS my XM4 super nice. I love them never regret that I bougt them.

The noise cancelling feature is the best. Equalizer is good as well. Sound quality hits the spot. But if used constantly over 1 hour in an air-conditioned room, you'll start to feel the heat and pressure on your ears. A slight problem for me but I'll think of this as a chance to rest my ears.

I've now been through 4 pairs of Sony noise cancelling headphones, 3 pairs of the XM4 and now this pair of XM5 and they ALWAYS fail in some way. The three pairs of XM4s were because of TWO warranty replacements. Now, my XM5s which I otherwise loved and treat very well, are failing at the headband need the ear cup like many many others are reporting online. Sony is designing these to fail, it's obvious. They sound good but I simply cannot recommend Sony headphones anymore. The will fail in some way within a couple years. What happened to making quality products that last? Corporate greed plain and simple. sad. The last thing I'll say is not being able to turn off the touch feature SUCKS especially when every touch of the ear cup makes a sound prompt.

Have only ever used earbuds before , but after listening to my brother in laws apple headphones I decided to get some . Read varying reports , some mentioning probs connecting to android . After reading hi-fi reports on the Sony phones , best quality at the price range , I plumped for them . As good as my brother in laws phones . Cannot fault them. With noise cancelling in operation, complete quiet from external noises . Would recommend them to anybody , using apple or android.

I bought it just a few weeks ago and although it was my fault for dropping it. i didnt expect it to spoil that quickly. Hope it will be more resilient in the future and now i have to get a new one HAHAHA

Happy with my purchase. My first time buying a Sony headphone. It would be great if the casing is design for travelling purposes ( like the Apple type of casing)

One ear stopped working after a year of ownership, Sony said it was still under warranty but after being sent off to their repair centre they said it isn't under warranty and it will be £100. Buy a different brand

Bought these around a month ago. Very comfortable and amazing quality. Charge lasts well, even when using noise cancelling features. They don't fold away so they are a bit bulky to carry around in their case.

Having been into Hifi for a long time age has doing my hearing no favours. These headphones are allowing me to listen to the music I love in amazing quality. The only downside is the cover on the headband is coming undone at one end, do not know why as it is only ever used in the house.

I bought these a few weeks ago and have enjoyed every use of them. They sit comfortably around my ears so that they don't move about. The sound is amazing and the noise canceling is fantastic. The app however is a little frustrating, some areas trying to force you into subscription music services just for a particular feature, it asks you to do certain movements for some checks and after five tries I gave up.. lastly, if you have it on any voice activation settings, coughing can interrupt music play back.. I turned it off but I assume this means I can't speak on calls.. still less annoying than music pausing for no reason.. lastly, they don't fold into any compact shape so be warned.. that said, all the faults are massively outweighed by the sound quality

I got this for a month. It's a very good headphone. Sleek design, nice colours, excellent sound and sound proofing, software is also very easy to use and provide options to adjust functions. Only 2 points to highlight is I have a hotspot on the top of my head when I use it for more than 30 minutes. 2nd point is the Bluetooth pairing can be a bit tricky at times, it takes a bit of getting used to. Other than that it's an excellent piece of headset with quality sound and build.

Bought it as a birthday present for my son. He is happy with it.

I bought for my wife, as I thought it would help her during WFH cause my child can be very noisy, running around, singing, laughing, shouting, and TV noises So, Noise-cancel everything might help, and the call quality also is noise-cancelled but she tried it, can't get used to the noiseless-ness wanted to return it for cash, but not accepted. Then I use lo, oh well. But I guess it helps me tahan my workplace open office, I feel peaceful under it, but the hot spot under my head is irritating and the sound quality so-so only, ANC also not as great as others I've tried.

I bought this three weeks ago during the first week of my junior year in college, and I am overall very satisfied with it. I use it every day to study in crowded environments like cafes, and it does its job pretty well.

Sonically these are the best headphones I have owned and I’ve had both Bose and Bowers and Wilkins. Noise cancelling be be improved slightly, but the quality of sound is unbelievable

I have been using these headphones for the best part of last 2-3 weeks, battery life is great, I only charged these headphone twice in the last 2-3 weeks, sound quality is very good. The only slight issue that I faced was while it was connected to my laptop and at the same times receive any notification on my phone, audio seems to act weird for 30 seconds or so, other than that, these are great headphones.

To be clear, this review is not on the level of support I received from Sony. I spoke to Tony and he was great trying to do what he could. The problem was I was pushed to buy the Sony Protect 2 year plan for my new $350 headphones. When a physical issue with the headphones occurred, I was told that my plan doesn't cover that, only the "Plus" plan does. I was never offered a Plus plan, and nowhere in the information of my warranty plan does it state that it does not cover physical damage. So I spent close to $50 for essentially a useless plan, given that when I actually needed it, I was told it wasn't good for anything. I would highly recommend purchasers pay very close attention to what is and is not covered under Sony 'warranty's'. It's unfortunate given my history with Sony, I've owned the XM3, XM4, XM5, and LinkBuds. Looks like I'll have to go elsewhere for future over ear headphone purchases.

Would have been a perfect headphone if it was Waterproof

I'll get to the chase....the signature sound being too warm and bassy drowns out a lot of details in songs. It's not a huge upgrade from whxm4 which is quite disappointing given the price gap, I don't think I can expect Sony to address anything these days, in fact I expect them to do worse on their next products. To fix the sound issue, the settings below seems to work the best and it keeps loudness bias to a minimum. If your device has Dolby Atmos, try this setting as well, to give it more sparkle and a tiny boost in everything.
